A shared love of naked truth, courage and community. These are the things that brought together the volunteer team that organizes Armchair Bend, a platform for sharing stories never previously told from a stage.
Storytellers and appreciators gather on a quarterly basis at the Tin Pan Theater, an artistic micro theater in Bend, Oregon that accommodates 29 people in vintage seats (and many more standing.) In this intimate space we share the experience of hearing adventures parlayed, guts spilled and uncertain fates revealed.
We take inspiration from the surprising places that perfect strangers transport us to with their stories.

“Armchair is so many things: Dinner party meets truth-or-dare meets group therapy meets all those dreams you have about being at school naked.”
”

“Speaking at an Armchair event is the equivalent of putting together an unvarnished standup routine and throwing yourself at the mercy of the crowd. ”
